Bi Engineer

Summary

Join Agile Actors, a coaching and learning ecosystem for tech professionals, as a BI Engineer (Medior to Senior level). You will be part of a Data team building a new data platform on Azure, using PowerBI to develop reporting models and dashboards. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, create insightful visualizations, and train end-users. This role requires strong PowerBI, SQL, and data modeling skills. Requirements

• Experience with Star-Schemas, OLTP schemas design process, and data sources such as SQL Server, Databricks (Unity Catalog), or other databases
• Proficiency in SQL development (procedures, functions, tables) and Query Tuning (Execution Plans, Indexes)
• Experience working with Cloud-based Query Engines (one of Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse)
• Strong experience building models, hierarchies, and calculated measures within PowerBI
• Proven experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes
• Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations in Power BI
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy reports and dashboards aligned with business needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
• Transform raw or modeled data into insightful visualizations using advanced techniques
• Optimize Power BI's performance for swift and efficient analysis
• Create reports and maintain standards by validating data integrity
