Summary

Join Deel's growing team as a BI Report Specialist, focusing on payroll and HR reporting. You will design, develop, and deliver custom business intelligence reports for clients using Deel's software platform. This customer-facing role requires managing reporting projects from start to finish, collaborating with clients to understand their needs, and ensuring timely and accurate report delivery. You will also work with internal teams to resolve issues and improve reporting tools. Success in this role demands strong analytical skills, expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Dev Express, Qlikview), and excellent communication skills. The position includes defined monthly billable hour targets and performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, HRIS, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in BI/reporting, preferably in a payroll, HR, or HCM software environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll cycles, HR processes, compliance reporting, and workforce KPIs
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Dev Express, Qlikview and M Query
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated success in customer-facing roles

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary reporting consultant for assigned clients, managing reporting projects from requirement gathering to delivery
  • Collaborate with clients to understand HR/payroll reporting objectives, compliance needs, and operational KPIs
  • Provide hands-on support and training to customers for report usage and dashboard navigation
  • Ensure high client satisfaction through timely, accurate, and insightful deliverables
  • Design, develop, and optimize custom reports and dashboards using the company’s proprietary BI tools or integrated platforms (Power BI, Dev Express and Qlikview)
  • Transform complex data into meaningful visualizations and actionable insights
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality throughout the reporting process
  • Maintain a target level of billable hours per month aligned with individual and team KPIs
  • Accurately log all client work and deliverables in time-tracking systems
  • Work closely with Product, Support, and Implementation teams to resolve client data/reporting issues
  • Provide feedback to product and development teams to improve reporting tools and data models
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases and reusable reporting templates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with labour law reporting requirements
  • Experience with APIs or data exports from HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday)
