Bid Manager

Summary

The job is for a Bid Manager at HyperionDev, a tech education company. The role involves identifying opportunities for bid submissions, developing proposal templates, managing the bid process, creating presentations, and analyzing industry literature. Requirements include at least 2 years of experience writing bid proposals, a tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR or related discipline, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience writing bid proposals in the private or public sector
• A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR or related discipline
• Proven ability to effectively manage a high volume of commercial tenders to varying timescales
• Strong knowledge of bid writing principles and ability to translate for a wide range of subject matters
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly present a business rationale
• High attention to detail coupled with high standards
• Ability to multitask with research projects, data analysis and coordination with the executive team

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Partnerships team in Identifying opportunities for bid submissions and raising with relevant stakeholders
• Develop proposal templates and responses for complex proposal requests and build an internal library
• Manage the bid / response process
• Develop presentation packages and briefing documentation
• Lead and / or participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies for proposal and presentation development
• Analyze pertinent industry literature, draft bid proposal copy and verify documentation
• Interview technical subject matter experts to extract the right information for bid responses

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of prior experience in a high growth company or tech startup
• Experience as a Bid Writer in the education / education technology industry
• Experience winning significant bids and government tenders for education projects in the UK and abroad
• A track record of winning proposals within highly competitive markets
• 1-3 years corporate strategic and technical writing experience
