Join Light Bureau, an internationally renowned design firm, as a BIM Operator specializing in lighting design. Based in our London office, you will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and coordinating BIM models for diverse projects. Requirements
- Be proficient in Revit and other BIM-related software
- Possess basic knowledge of lighting design principles and integration into BIM workflows
- Have experience in the creation and modification of Revit families, specifically for lighting design
- Possess a strong understanding of building systems, with the ability to coordinate lighting design with other disciplines (architecture, structural, MEP)
- Have a good understanding of project standards, codes, and regulations related to lighting design
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and coordination of BIM models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards
- Collaborate closely with the lighting design team to integrate lighting components and systems into the BIM environment
- Develop lighting-specific BIM elements and Revit families for integration into project models
- Support the coordination between different disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of lighting design with other architectural, structural, and MEP elements
- Ensure that lighting design models adhere to the projectβs BIM execution plan and client requirements
- Assist in the preparation of 3D visualizations and renderings for lighting design presentations
- Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring all models reflect the latest design changes and revisions
- Provide support and training to junior team members in lighting design integration within BIM software
Preferred Qualifications
- Have knowledge of 3D modelling, rendering, and visualization tools
- Be familiar with lighting design software such as Dialux, Relux, or similar
- Have an understanding of BIM protocols and best practices
- Have prior experience working in the construction or architectural sectors
- Possess relevant certifications or training in BIM or lighting design
