Bookkeeper

Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper in a remote role, working 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, along with strong bookkeeping skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably with US-based e-commerce or DTC brands
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Experience with financial software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Inventory Planner
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple brands and financial records simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the Controller, executive team, and external vendors
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Record and classify daily financial transactions for multiple brands
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection
• Track purchase orders and process vendor payments, especially with international vendors
• Upload and reconcile bank statements regularly
• Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing and reconciling financial reports
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and financial statements are up-to-date
• Perform monthly bank and credit card account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Monitor and process incoming invoices, ensuring timely approval and payment
• Handle payment queries and maintain clear communication with vendors
