Summary
Join Earnest, a company dedicated to making higher education more accessible and affordable. As a Brand Copywriter, you will report to the Head of Brand & Content and play a key role in developing compelling marketing copy across various channels. You will lead copy development, shape brand voice guidelines, contribute to business strategy, and collaborate with designers. This remote-based position in the San Francisco Bay Area requires 3 days of monthly in-office collaboration in Oakland. Requirements
- 3+ years B2C copywriting experience in either an agency or in-house creative team
- Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, journalism, or related field
- Proven ability to translate complex topics into accessible consumer-facing content
- Demonstrated experience with A/B testing and data-driven copy optimization
- Strong track record of successful designer collaboration on campaign launches
- Portfolio showcasing diverse copy examples across web, digital marketing, email, and product
- Experience analyzing performance metrics and applying insights to improve creative
- Understanding of conversion optimization and engagement metrics
- Willingness to travel to the Oakland office monthly to collaborate with other Earnies
Responsibilities
- Lead copy development across Lifecycle, Performance Marketing, and Web channels to drive customer engagement and conversion
- Shape and evolve brand voice guidelines based on performance data and market research
- Contribute to business strategy through brand-focused initiatives and creative solutions
- Partner with Product Marketing to balance business objectives with brand-building goals
- Develop compelling marketing copy that educates consumers about financial services value propositions
- Drive creative ideation and execution for marketing campaigns across channels
- Create and optimize content for digital marketing, web, email, product, and offline advertising
- Lead copy testing initiatives to continuously improve creative performance
- Collaborate with designers to create cohesive marketing assets that strengthen brand identity
