Business Analyst- Junior

Summary

The job is for a Junior Business Analyst in Raleigh, NC, working hybrid. The role involves assisting the client's Grants and Budget Teams with operational activities, including reports testing, web application testing, help desk issue resolution, documentation updates, and COTS configurations (Smartsheet).

Requirements

• Expertise with Excel, including writing long formulas, pivot tables, comparing multiple data sources to spot differences (Required 2 Years)
• Expertise with testing reports. Verifying data totals compared to various data sources (some online, some not) (Required 2 Years)
• Expertise with manual Quality Assurance testing of custom web applications (Required 2 Years)
• Expertise with communicating effectively and professionally, orally and in writing, with business teams and external users (Required 2 Years)
• Demonstrated technical writing experience – user guides, user instructions, system specifications (Required 2 Years)
• General knowledge of an issue ticketing system – adding issues to the system, statusing tickets, resolving and closing (Required 2 Years)
• Ability to interact as a productive team member and/or project team, or manage project tasks independently (Required 2 Years)
• Ability to study and learn independently; ability to adapt work to unanticipated changes and shifting priorities (Required 2 Years)
• Demonstrated ability to formulate creative solutions to problems while working within defined boundaries (Required 2 Years)
• Familiarity with Smartsheet including workflow, formulas and DocuSign integration (Desired 1 Years)
• General knowledge of writing / running basic SQL queries to check data for reports / testing (Desired 1 Years)

Responsibilities

• Assist the client's Grants and Budget Teams with day-to-day operational activities including reports testing, web application testing, help desk issue resolution, documentation updates, and COTS configurations (Smartsheet)
• Manage business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution
• Identify and document business processes, issues, value levers, metrics, and capabilities
• Collect, organize, and analyze data
• Conduct interviews to gather business requirements
• Support required system maintenance activities, including support desk, site support, training delivery, etc
• Support change management and communications
