Summary

Join Pelmorex, Canada's #1 most trusted media brand, as a Business Analyst for a 10-month contract. You will support the Sales business unit's analytic needs using various tools like Netsuite, Google Ad Manager, and Power BI. Collaborate with teams to provide sales product reporting and insights, create dashboards, and build business cases. This remote position, open to Canadian residents only, requires 3+ years of relevant experience and strong analytical skills. Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in an analytics capacity
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel, with competency in PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, or similar
  • Proficiency with at least one of: SQL, Python, DAX, R, or other data model creation tools
  • Has focused in one or more of the following areas: digital media, ad products / technology, statistical modeling, and/or marketing analytics
  • Broad understanding of analytical processes including but not limited to data management, forecasting, optimization, predictive modeling, and visualization
  • Understand how to read and interpret reports, and create dashboards for business users
  • Eligible to work and currently located in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Support the analytic needs of the Sales business unit by using sales data and ad performance metrics with Netsuite, Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, and others
  • Collaborate with other teams on a regular basis to provide in-depth sales product reporting, insights, visualizations, and materials to support presentations and decision-making
  • Leverage our BI tools, including Power BI, Google Sheets, Excel, and others to produce dashboards and reports that enable our teams to be smarter about our business
  • Collaborate with our Sales Enablement teams to ensure data collection is “set up for success”
  • Respond to ad hoc requests by quickly pulling data, organizing results, and clearly communicating findings
  • Maintain regularly assigned reporting, including troubleshooting technical issues, answering user questions about reporting results, and looking for efficiencies
  • Have an active role in building business cases / recommendations for new products / initiatives
  • Cultivate and manage relationships at the company and among the teams
  • Work with other business analysts to foster smarter analysis and deeper insights across all business units

Preferred Qualifications

  • You understand the advertising / media space
  • You’re comfortable with structuring messy data
  • You can successfully turn a hypothesis into a story, and support it with data
  • You’ve worked in both structured and unstructured environments and are comfortable navigating either to ensure the job gets done right
