Summary

Join our team as a Business Data Analyst! You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and databases within the accounting domain. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver high-performing data solutions. This role requires strong SQL skills, experience in revenue accounting, and knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606. Requirements

  • Ability to develop accounting requirements for upstream data
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analytics, and/or business intelligence
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition (knowledge of IFRS is a plus)
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with the ability to handle large volumes of transactional data (Python experience is a plus)
  • Strong customer facing presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workflows across multiple platforms, including Snowflake
  • Implement data models and schemas to support business requirements and ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction, transformation, loading, and reporting
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and provide data engineering support for analytics initiatives
  • Ensure data quality and implement data validation and cleansing techniques
  • Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance for efficient data processing and retrieval
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and availability
  • Implement and maintain data security and access controls
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and process documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Snowflake development tools and architecture is a plus
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling is a plus
