Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the recruitment industry (agency or in-house)
  • Solid understanding of recruitment service models (permanent and contract), with a client-focused mindset
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales pipelines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and strategic outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and senior decision-makers
  • Understand client hiring needs and present bespoke recruitment solutions across permanent and contract staffing
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close new client agreements
  • Collaborate closely with the recruitment delivery team to ensure seamless onboarding and successful client delivery
  • Log and manage all business development activity in our CRM system
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover new business opportunities
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry knowledge in sectors such as technology, healthcare, or finance
  • Experience in a 360-recruitment role
  • Existing portfolio of clients or a developed professional network
