Summary

Join our team as a Business Development Manager and leverage your expertise in the Energy & Utilities sector to cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing partnerships. You will be responsible for developing sales strategies, managing the entire sales process, and coordinating internal and external resources to secure deals. This hybrid role requires experience in major account management, consultative selling, and selling technology solutions within the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in designing sales campaigns and building long-term client relationships. This position offers excellent compensation, benefits, and upward mobility. Travel up to 50% within the assigned territory is required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years major account sales experience
  • 3-5+ years Energy / Utility vertical market experience
  • Trained in Consultative Selling techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in selling technology solutions (ie video, networking, etc)
  • Proven ability to design a sales campaign for a long sales cycle opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies, action plans, and relationships with our key vendors and channel partners to drive the engagement of company and our value proposition in the Energy-Utilities Vertical
  • Call upon all potential specifiers, influencers, and decision-makers within assigned industry segment(s)/accounts and deliver presentations to them
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact and relationship development through needs analysis, account capture planning, product demonstration, proposal of business solution, including driving pilots as needed to bid and win the End User customer
  • Coordinate the necessary internal and external resources (Engineering, Management, Finance, and Operations), to track and close deals with potential clients
  • Engage with city engineers to help spec and identify upcoming projects
  • Focus on Energy bid boards to capture all projects from facility safety directors, key stakeholders and C-Level
  • Travel up to 50% in covered territory
