Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of demonstrated business development or account management experience which includes at least 5 years of federal account experience
  • Experience and an understanding of IT professional services
  • Demonstrated ability to qualify and pursue strategic opportunities but also a highly resourceful team player
  • Take charge and be able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role exceeding designated sales targets/quota
  • Experience with an industry-standard federal account/capture management and proposal development methodologies
  • Highly organized with ability to manage several simultaneous opportunities at once
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with all levels of management

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source opportunities, execute the capture process, pursue prospective contracts, and lead all involved parties to a win
  • Create and manage a pipeline of opportunities
  • Build relationships with strategic partners across our space; maintain customer relationships and strategic teaming partner relationships
  • Develop pricing and business development strategies: proposals, RFP responses, and sales presentations
  • Coordinates with Senior Management and functional departments in formulating strategy, leading proposal preparation, etc
  • Work closely with multiple teams and is responsible capturing new business as well as recompete efforts
  • Responsible for opportunity strategy development and execution, and reporting progress toward achieving objectives
  • Tracks the competitionโ€™s business development activities and strategies, including pricing trends and approaches
  • Supervise matrixed personnel supporting their assigned prospect including proposal managers, proposal staff, etc
  • Directs and actively participates in positioning the business development/capture strategy for specific prospects
  • Performs special assignments related to business development activities
