Join Nabis, the leading licensed cannabis wholesale platform, as the Business Development Manager for California. You will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. This role involves developing and executing strategies to acquire new clients, retain partnerships, and enhance client satisfaction. You will leverage your strong negotiation skills and business acumen to identify opportunities and build relationships. Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, you will manage the sales lifecycle, conduct market research, and collaborate on marketing campaigns. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the cannabis industry
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales lifecycle tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenAI or like-in-kind AI tools and G-Suite applications
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, persuasive, and able to make data-driven decisions
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check
- Cannabis experience or familiarity with the plant and industry
Responsibilities
- Identify and target new markets, potential customers, and partnership opportunities within California's cannabis industry
- Build and manage strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover growth opportunities
- Manage the sales lifecycle, including fulfilling RFPs, negotiating agreements, and closing deals with new and existing customers
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, assess competition, and uncover opportunities for Nabis' expansion
- Collaborate on the creation and execution of targeted marketing campaigns to reach new audiences and retain current partners
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining business development progress, strategies, and outcomes
- Develop and strengthen internal and external networks to drive lead generation and increase market share
- Conduct high-level industry research to stay ahead of trends and create effective sales solutions
- Regular travel (minimum 20%)to partner locations, retail establishments, and other Nabis sites to nurture relationships and drive engagement
- Embody and promote Nabis' culture, values, and mission in all interactions and initiatives
