Summary

Join Deputy, a global SaaS remote-first workforce management company, as a Business Development Representative to drive new business in target segments. Collaborate cross-functionally to execute a new outbound strategy, focusing on sourcing and building pipelines for Account Executives in mid-market and enterprise segments. Build relationships with leads through various communication channels, including social selling, email, calls, and text messaging. Run qualification calls, understand customer needs, and articulate how Deputy's solutions meet those needs. Maintain data cleanliness in the CRM and consistently meet quota targets. This role requires at least one year of quota-carrying sales experience in a similar SaaS role, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The compensation package includes a competitive base salary and target variable pay, along with various employee perks.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year professional quota-carrying sales experience as a Outbound BDR or similar role at a Saas company, with a proven track record of achievement and the desire to build a career in sales
  • Team player and demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Excellent phone presence and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • A love for making an impact and working with a team to hit key goals and metrics
  • Passion and curiosity around technology with the ability to breakΒ  comprehend and articulate value points to customers
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools (i.e. Groove, Outreach, Sales Navigator)

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source, engage and qualify strategic prospects in target segments and industries to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for our AMER sales team
  • Engage with potential clients through various communication channels such as calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts and live chat platforms aimed at creating new business opportunities
  • Run your own qualification calls with prospects, helping to determine if they should be passed to AEs for the next stage
  • Demonstrate attentive listening skills when understanding customer requirements and articulate how we can meet those needs better than other solutions
  • Take rigorous notes and maintain data cleanliness in the CRM to ensure quality handoff to AEs
  • Consistently meet established quota targets that will contribute to the company's revenue growth

Preferred Qualifications

Startup and/or people tech experience is a plus!
