Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in health informatics/ healthcare data analytics/ healthcare financial forecasting (working knowledge on hospital and professional services billing)
- Mandatory advanced knowledge of observation data analyses with large datasets including medical, provider, member, pharmacy, and eligibility data β including familiarity with working with claims at the code level (ICD-10, DRG, CPT/HCPCS, revenue codes)
- Knowledge on processing and analyzing large healthcare claims and payor datasets
- Working knowledge on database architecture in cloud, relational databases, enterprise data warehouses and data lakes
- SQL experience required
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
- Self-starter, able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high intensity start-up environment
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to create & deliver the results of analyses to non-technical audiences
- Bachelorβs Degree in Math, Statistics, Biostatistics, Actuarial Science, or Economics, Health Informatics, Public Health required
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional requirements
- Be a subject matter expert on medical coding methodologies and clinical workflows
- Optimize and enhance existing reports to improve data accuracy and visualization effectiveness
- Ensure data consistency and quality in reports by working closely with the data management team
- Perform data analysis and ad-hoc queries to support business decision-making
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Python / R is a plus
- Tableau preferred
