Summary

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a management role with HR responsibilities, team development, and stakeholder communication
  • Proficiency in data engineering skills, including data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing
  • Deep understanding of algorithms to transform data into usable forms
  • Demonstrated success in roadmap planning and prioritizing work based on business impact
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at various levels

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of three, fostering their growth and navigating challenges in alignment with team goalsโ€”own HR responsibilities, including hiring, performance reviews, and skill development
  • Lead roadmap planning and prioritization of high-impact projects, working closely with stakeholders to align project goals and strategic priorities
  • As the primary liaison with other departments, managing communication and relationship-building to gather reporting requirements and align on strategic insights
  • Oversee the architecture of the teamโ€™s tech stack, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with data governance standards
  • Ensure processes and technology comply with data governance and data security regulations and policies
  • Facilitate adherence to data integrity practices guided by overall cyber security standards
  • Ensure efficient data pipelines for seamless data flow from various sources to data stores available to analysts
  • Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive team environment
  • Establish and refine team processes, improving efficiency and creating clear paths for communication and feedback
  • Manage the team's budget and resource allocation and take ownership of reporting key team metrics to leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with data visualization and management tools like Tableau, Snowflake, and Figma
  • Experience with 5Tran for ETL processes
  • Experience employing software engineering methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, architecture design, and service-oriented architecture
