Business Systems Analyst

Summary

Join Sand Cherry Associates as a Business Systems Analyst to develop and operate analytics and reporting solutions for our telecommunications network systems. This remote role, based in Charlotte, NC, requires self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business needs into defined deliverables. You will design, develop, and support reporting systems using Smartsheets, gather and process data at scale, and collaborate with stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and telecommunications/utilities experience are required. Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering is required
• Telecommunications or Utilities industry experience required
• Strong ability to gather data, prepare data, analyze data sets in SmartSheets and Visio, and tell the story via PPT
• Successful candidate should be able to work independently while meeting tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support business data management reporting systems and services utilizing Smartsheets application
• Participate in business design process and architecture roadmap to provide a technical and business perspective
• Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, write SQL queries, etc.)
• Profile data to measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness
• Develop and implement tools, scripts, queries, and applications for ETL/ELT and data operations
• Manage life cycle of multiple data sources
• Work closely with stakeholders on the data demand side (analysts and data scientists)
• Work closely with stakeholders on the data supply side (domain experts on source systems of the data)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, MySQL, and other database technologies experience a plus
• Hands-on working experience with RDBMS, SQL, scripting, and coding
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and/or statistical software is preferred
• Experience with Visio or SmartSheet application is preferred
• Experience with visualization or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred
