Summary
Join the Province of New Brunswick's SNB-Corp Apps & Security team as a Business Systems Analyst Level 3! This hybrid role, based in Fredericton, requires a skilled analyst to elicit, translate, and manage requirements for application development. You will facilitate workshops, gather and document business needs, and collaborate with stakeholders. The contract runs until March 31, 2026, with potential for extension and full-time conversion. Travel within New Brunswick may be required, with expenses reimbursed. If you are located outside of New Brunswick, you must reside in Canada and remote work is possible, but travel to Fredericton may be occasionally required.

Responsibilities
- Elicit, translate, validate, communicate, negotiate, develop, and manage requirements by applying proven effective techniques such as interviews with probing questions, walk-throughs, surveys, use cases, specifications, brainstorming, modelling, etc
- Facilitate and moderate the discovery sessions/workshops in the participation of both business and technical stakeholders to gather the business and functional requirements, finalize the requirements and manage the required approval for the design and development of the application
- Gather and document the business and functional requirements by leveraging critical thinking skill set and performing required coordination among the internal and external project stakeholders (i.e., PAS Business SMEs, SaaS Providers Technical SMEs, SMEs of different departments in GNB) and manage the requirements traceability matrix document throughout the project life cycle
- Identify, define, communicate, and negotiate for solutions, technical and business processes, procedural, etc. that will maximize the value delivered by the supported Application to the SNB PAS team
- Effectively translate technical issues so all project stakeholders can understand and make effective decisions
- Provide required support to the project manager to complete the work packages
- Perform comprehensive risk analysis for risk register and stakeholder analysis, including interdependencies
- Identify project issues and document and communicate with suggestions for resolution
- Produce and manage the project documentation in accordance with the agreed project template
- Follow the SNB Project Management Framework, agreed project governance approach and delivery strategy to ensure the delivery of the assigned project deliverables within time and scope
- Participate in the resolution of post-implementation defects and change requests associated with the PAS projects in scope for the engagement
