Summary

Join Carbonfuture, a leading company in the carbon removal industry, as a Carbon Removal Sourcing Manager for Latin America. You will be responsible for identifying and recruiting project owners, providing consulting support to help them scale their projects, and representing Carbonfuture at events in the region. You will also manage your own sales pipeline, travel regularly to visit project owners and project sites, and build relationships with carbon removal partners in Latin America. This role requires strong negotiation skills, fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, and a deep understanding of durable carbon removals and the Latin American carbon market.

Requirements

  • You have more than 3 years professional experience in a consultative sales role, with a solid sales track record from pipeline building to effective deal closure
  • You are a skillful and compelling communicator, fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese (preferably both), as well as English
  • You have an understanding of durable carbon removals and the differences between removal technologies
  • You are familiar with carbon or other environmental markets in Latin America
  • You have experience in initiating and managing partner relationships
  • You thrive in environments that are actively evolving and dynamic
  • You are persistent and have a strong bias to action

Responsibilities

  • Identify new project owners and projects across different types of durable removals, both mature (e.g., biochar) and maturing removal approaches (e.g. BECCS, DACCS, carbonated building materials)
  • Manage your own sales pipeline of removal projects
  • Hold the relationship with your own key accounts and regularly update the Buyer Sales team on their progress
  • Travel regularly (approximately 25% of the time), visiting project owners and project sites, and representing Carbonfuture at conferences, associations, policy, and lobby groups
  • Build networks and relationships with carbon removal partners and the greater ecosystem in Latin America, including companies, associations, agencies, etc
  • Support communication with large corporate partners, including presenting removal projects and becoming an expert for the existing removal methodologies
  • Become an expert user of Carbonfuture’s digital platform: manage removals and credits, onboard project owners to the platform, guide them on new features, and give detailed feedback to the product team
  • Offer reliable, proactive, and efficient support to our project owner partners, particularly towards the issuance of certified removal credits
  • Support project due diligence, which involves reputational, financial, and environmental risk assessment

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have public speaking experience
  • You have experience reviewing and editing bespoke commercial contracts
  • You are familiar with HubSpot, Salesforce or other CRM and pride yourself on keeping your data clean and current
