Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a patient support, customer service, or healthcare-related role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Proficiency in using standard office applications (e.g., Google Suite)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to patient support

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and providers, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Assist with scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, including managing conflicts and optimizing appointment schedules
  • Coordinate care activities, including referrals to specialists, follow-up appointments, and coordination with other healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring data is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations
  • Provide support to patients and providers navigating the healthcare system, including explaining procedures, insurance processes, and available resources
  • Assist in the resolution of patient or provider issues or complaints, escalating more complex concerns to the appropriate team members or supervisors
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices and organizational changes
  • Propose updates to key processes as needed to maintain them

Preferred Qualifications
