Join Pearl Talent and work remotely as a Care Operations Coordinator for a virtual-first specialty clinic focused on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with rare and complex chronic conditions. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling scheduling, prescription coordination, and follow-ups, while collaborating with internal clinical teams and external providers to coordinate care. This role requires 1-2 years of experience in U.S. healthcare, prior experience in care coordination, familiarity with U.S. healthcare systems, strong operational skills, and the ability to make basic clinical judgment calls. Requirements
- 1β2 years of experience in U.S. healthcare (clinical, operational, or support roles)
- Prior experience in care coordination, case management, or virtual clinical support
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare systems, including insurance, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Strong operational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand care visit processes and make basic clinical judgment calls
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for patient inquiries via EHR, secure messaging, and phone
- Manage scheduling, prescription coordination, and follow-ups with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
- Respond to inbound messages and provide timely support to patient concerns
- Collaborate with internal clinical teams and external providers to coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Track and document patient progress throughout their care journey, ensuring a seamless and continuous care experience
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation
- Support new patient onboarding and proactively flag care gaps, as well as systemic or financial barriers to care
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
- Use automation tools to streamline workflows, while handling essential manual tasks like chart preparation and patient communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Elation EHR or similar digital health platforms
- Background working in VC-backed digital health startups
- Exposure to chronic or complex care management (e.g., EDS, MCAS, POTS)
- Comfort navigating fast-paced, remote team environments
