Requirements

  • 2 years + of experience in a truckload carrier sales role (US-US market) is a MUST
  • Upper-Intermediate Level of English is a MUST
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills for carrier sales and coordination
  • Experience in identifying and recruiting new carriers to lower cost of transportation
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage both administrative and sales-related responsibilities
  • Self-driven with little guidance and competitive nature
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in using computer systems and office software (e.g., MS Office, virtual communication tools)
  • Work well under pressure and with integrity
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing data, documents, and schedules
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with team members

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing carriers
  • Recruit new carriers to achieve lower cost of transportation and improve performance
  • Be a master negotiator of carrier rates on a spot or transactional basis
  • Source and procure carrier services to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight
  • Coordinate the booking and dispatching of shipments to carriers, considering customer requirements, carrier capacity, and delivery deadline
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely and accurate pick-up, transit, and delivery
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the transportation process, such as delays, damages, or service failures
  • Maintain accurate records of carrier information, contracts, rates, and shipment details
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and warehousing, to ensure seamless coordination and customer satisfaction
  • Provide regular reports and updates on carrier performance, shipment status, and relevant metrics
  • Learn various freight market trends based on seasonality, geography and specialized carrier types to effectively communicate to client facing representatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of logistics operations, transportation modes, and freight management preferred
  • 1 year+ of work knowledge with Parade is preferred
  • Experience with market tools for pricing benchmarks, capacity procurement and relationship development (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) is preferred
