Summary

Join AfterShip, a Great Place to Work Certified company, as the Executive Operations partner to the CEO. This is a hands-on, intense CEO training role, not an assistant position. You will have full visibility into the CEO's work, shadowing him daily and taking on high-leverage tasks. You will manage strategic initiatives, meeting preparation, and follow-ups, and build your own support structure. This role offers significant growth potential, potentially leading to departmental ownership or becoming the de facto COO. The ideal candidate is fluent in Chinese and English, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is deeply trustworthy. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone eager to grow into a leadership role within a global SaaS company.

Requirements

  • You’re fluent in both Chinese and English — speaking, reading, and writing
  • You’ll work across teams in North America, APAC, and Europe. Clear communication in both languages is a must
  • You want to learn by doing — fast
  • You’ll be exposed to everything: product, marketing, sales, ops, hiring, finance. If you’re the type who learns best by diving in and figuring things out, you’ll thrive here
  • You can handle chaos without panicking
  • Things move fast. You’ll help bring order to the chaos — while also keeping up with it
  • You’re organized and can think 5 steps ahead
  • You’re always planning, anticipating, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks — even when Teddy’s in three countries in two weeks
  • You’re deeply trustworthy
  • You’ll see everything — calendars, email, sensitive documents, people challenges. You know how to handle it with care, confidentiality, and zero drama
  • You’re hungry to grow into a leadership role
  • Many Exec Ops go on to run teams, products, or even become COO. If you want to become a founder or executive one day, this role is an incredible training ground
  • You’re comfortable with travel and time zone juggling
  • Teddy’s based in APAC but travels globally about 1/3 of the time. You need to be available, flexible, and possibly on the move too
  • You’re not above any task — and ready for every challenge
  • One moment you may be summarizing board materials; the next, solving a problem between two teams or making sure Teddy’s flights and meetings align perfectly. You’re willing to jump in, whatever the task
  • You care about people
  • You’ll interact with leaders, new hires, and external partners. You bring empathy, respect, and a solutions-first mindset to every interaction

Responsibilities

  • Act as Teddy’s right hand — work directly with him daily to manage high-priority projects, internal communication, and strategic decisions
  • Travel with Teddy or work in sync across time zones — ~1/3 of his time is spent internationally (US, Europe, JP, SG), and the rest of the time in HK/SZ
  • Prepare, join, and follow up on Teddy’s meetings — internal, external, board, investor, recruiting
  • Run operations behind executive team meetings: agendas, goals, action items, and follow-through
  • Help unblock cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment between teams
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in Teddy’s schedule and across the company
  • Handle confidential information with absolute discretion and professionalism
  • Build and manage your own support team (e.g. EA, coordinator) as needed

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Remote-first/hybrid-flexible work setups
  • Healthcare coverage offered from day 1
  • Retirement plans including company match
  • Annual learning & wellness benefit
  • Monthly book perk
  • Career progression & professional development
  • In-office lunch and commuter benefits for those located in our hub locations
