Remote Chief Finance Officer

Summary

Join our client as their Chief Finance Officer for a 6-month FTC to lead their financial strategy and ensure long-term sustainability. As the financial leader of the organisation, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice, overseeing financial planning, and managing relationships with external auditors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the housing, social enterprise, or non-profit sector
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including board members
• Demonstrable experience in financial planning, risk management, and driving financial performance

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board on all financial matters
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions
• Oversee investment and funding strategies, including treasury management and fundraising
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of excellence
• Act as a key figure in driving value for money across all services and projects
• Ensure the organisation’s financial systems and procedures are efficient, effective, and fit for purpose
