Summary

Join Bobbie as their exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and lead the financial strategy of this rapidly growing company. Understand and optimize the financial dynamics of owned manufacturing, managing inventory, working capital, and operational efficiency. Establish comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.

Requirements

  • Strong experience at the enterprise level in growth-stage environments
  • Track record of active Board involvement and partnership with investment bankers and external stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and take on cross-functional responsibilities outside of traditional Finance scope
  • Combination of large-company training and growth stage consumer brands
  • MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance executive role
  • Proven track record in scaling consumer products businesses, preferably with manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated experience raising capital (debt and equity) and managing investor relations
  • Experience building and leading high-performing finance teams in growth environments
  • Proficiency with advanced financial planning tools, ERP systems, and business intelligence platforms
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to boards and investors

Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with our CEO and cross-functional teams to build financial plans that fuel our growth ambitions
  • Maintain healthy, fully-loaded contribution margins as the business scales across retail, DTC, and manufacturing channels
  • Deliver financial reporting and forecasting that gives everyone the insights they need to make smart decisions
  • Build budgets that balance big growth bets (new manufacturing capacity, clinical trials, channel expansion) with the discipline to optimize costs
  • Manage our cash flow so we always have the runway to fund our next chapter
  • Lead capital raising initiatives through debt, equity, or other instruments to fund expansion, acquisitions, and new product development
  • Analyze different financing options and determine the optimal capital structure to support growth objectives
  • Evaluate and execute strategic acquisitions that align with the company's growth strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners
  • Act as the executive lead on financial transactions and capital events, including investor storytelling, board updates, and partnership with investment bankers
  • Create and manage sophisticated financial models for short and long-term business planning, including forecasting sales, expenses, and cash flow
  • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to stress-test growth assumptions and identify risks and opportunities
  • Provide robust data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions around growth initiatives
  • Establish KPIs and metrics that drive accountability across the organization
  • Be a trusted strategic partner to our CEO, executive team, and Board
  • Communicate the company's growth story effectively to investors, analysts, and the market
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align financial strategy with overall business objectives
  • Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives
  • Lead beyond the Finance function, flexing into operational and organization areas as needed to help the business scale smartly
  • Bring strong change management leadership, with experience navigating rapid scale or business transformation
  • Build and lead a finance team that's as passionate about our mission as they are about the numbers
  • Create a culture where people own their work, keep learning, and innovate on how we do finance
  • Put in place the systems, processes, and controls that let us scale without breaking
  • Understand and optimize the financial dynamics of owned manufacturing, including COGS, overhead allocation, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Manage inventory, working capital, and operational efficiency within manufacturing operations
  • Establish comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, monitor, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and supply chain finance
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations or other relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with public company financial reporting and compliance
  • Specific experience in baby/infant products, nutrition, or related consumer health categories
