Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully raising pre-seed or early-stage funding for startups, with verifiable past achievements
  • Established network of angel investors, venture capitalists, and other potential funding sources
  • In-depth understanding of the startup ecosystem and investment landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate market conditions, competition, and startup viability
  • Effective execution of fundraising activities
  • Proven ability to negotiate investment terms and conditions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive pre-seed fundraising strategy tailored to SOULCHI's goals and market positioning
  • Identify, research, and reach out to potential investors, including angel investors, venture capitalists, and other sources of early-stage funding
  • Assist in developing compelling pitch decks, executive summaries, and other fundraising materials
  • Coach the founding team on effective pitch delivery and investor communication
  • Leverage existing network and build new relationships with potential investors and strategic partners
  • Guide company through the due diligence process, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are prepared and presented professionally
  • Assist in negotiating terms with investors to secure favorable funding agreements
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support fundraising efforts and validate SOULCHI's value proposition

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degrees
  • Relevant certifications in fundraising, such as CFRE, CAP, FCP
  • Specific experience in SDG industry
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching startup founders on fundraising and business development
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach with a strong understanding of startup challenges and opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with investors, founders, and other stakeholders
  • High ethical standards and integrity in all dealings and negotiations
  • Genuine passion for startups and innovation, with a commitment to helping early-stage companies succeed
