Summary

Join Placemakr, a company combining apartment living, vacation rentals, and hotel stays, as their Chief of Staff. Reporting to the President and Co-Founder, you will collaborate with senior leadership, drive strategic alignment, and improve cross-functional accountability. This role involves supporting the President in leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and serving as operational support for the Platform Senior Leadership Team. The position offers a launchpad for executive leadership with close collaboration with executives and exposure to all levels of the organization. This is a remote-first, DC-based role with regular travel. You will be a force multiplier for the leadership team, orchestrating strategic projects, and ensuring major initiatives move forward.

Requirements

  • Sharp, Organized, and Accountable Generalist: Ideally a recent MBA or someone with equivalent experience in consulting, business operations, or strategic execution. You bring both breadth and depth, adapting quickly to whatever the business needs
  • Proactive Problem Solving, Opportunity Identification and Action: You anticipate needs, spot gaps before they become problems, and take decisive action, often without being explicitly asked. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to ensure success, no matter how menial a task may seem

Responsibilities

  • Be a Force Multiplier: Extend the impact of the Platform leadership team by anticipating needs and proactively supporting business priorities
  • Orchestrate Strategic Projects: Drive execution on multi-functional initiatives that require strong alignment and precise coordination
  • Own Project Timelines and Accountability: Ensure major initiatives move forward without losing momentum or clarity
  • Support the Platform Senior Leadership Team: Align priorities and execution across the President, COO, and CFO’s portfolios
  • Influence without Authority: Manage cross-functional relationships, competing priorities, and time and resources proactively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Manage Up and Down the Org: Prepare execs for key decisions, synthesize information, and help ensure clarity of direction
  • Evolve Into a Strategic Operator: Grow into ownership of strategic relationships and initiatives that drive value, efficiency, and scale
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned
