Summary

This remote, flexible part-time to full-time position offers equity-based compensation. As COO, you will lead employees, collaborate with the CEO on strategic planning, oversee financial performance, and implement business strategies. The ideal candidate possesses extensive COO experience, strategic planning expertise, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of business functions. The position offers flexibility in working hours (15-40 hours/week) and an equity-based compensation model that transitions to salary + benefits at the break-even point. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or relevant role
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc

Responsibilities

  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs in Year 1 OKRs, 3-year vision, and 10-year goals
  • Act as a liaison between company staff and the executive team
  • Orchestrate seamless collaboration between our Product Design Team and other divisions
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • With our CFO, oversee the company's financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational efficiency and effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising will be a plus
  • Experience in a start-up environment a plus
