Summary

As a Clinical Operations Specialist at SmarterDx, you will conduct comprehensive chart reviews to support clinical documentation improvement, collaborate with healthcare teams, and contribute to process improvement efforts. A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare is required, preferably in a clinical documentation or coding role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical documentation or coding role
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and healthcare documentation requirements
• Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or a related medical field

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of clinical documentation
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation
• Understand and apply coding guidelines and regulations to assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate communication and understanding of clinical documentation requirements
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on documentation and coding guidelines
• Contribute to process improvement efforts to enhance documentation practices and support efficient and effective healthcare delivery

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification, such as Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
