Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field required, Masterβs degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare quality management, telehealth experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a clinician directly caring for patients preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to ensure top-notch clinical care delivery
- Maintain high clinical standards and enhance patient safety
- Spearhead quality improvement/quality assurance initiatives
- Author clinical content for use by providers and patients
- Assist in leading and continued development of Quality Assurance processes for Wheel
- Conduct audits to assess and monitor clinical performance and identify areas for improvement
- Enforce safety protocols to minimize risks during telehealth consultations
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Work with our Clinician Champions team to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Provide guidance and support to enhance team competencies in telehealth service delivery
- Onboard and support new Clinician Champions, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
- Provide coaching and feedback to Clinician Champions, assisting them with performance improvement plans and ensuring timely follow-up
- Lead training sessions for Clinician Champions on new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance updates
- Maintain the Clinician Champion Handbook and ensure adherence to established guidelines
- Allocate hours to each pod to meet quality needs while maintaining budget constraints
- Act as a lead for quality improvement projects, driving initiatives aimed at enhancing telehealth services
- Maintain involvement in content creation, chart audits, and clinician coaching as needed, ensuring continuity of support and quality oversight
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing Clinical Quality processes, metrics, and guidelines
- Experience writing evidence-based clinical content for clinical and nonclinical audiences
- Experience in clinical quality improvement methodologies a plus
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from inception to completion
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate across the organization
- Proficiency in quality management tools
