Summary

Join NewRich, a growing startup offering e-learning and mentorship for digital entrepreneurs, as their AWS Cloud Infrastructure Manager. You will be responsible for managing and scaling their cloud infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. This hybrid position requires experience in a fast-paced startup environment and excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS services and security best practices. Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast paced startup is Mandatory
  • Only applicants from the GTA will be considered

  • Self-motivated and able to maintain excellence with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provision, monitor, and scale EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, CloudFront, etc
  • Maintain uptime via CloudWatch alarms, Auto Scaling Groups, and Health Checks
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to version infrastructure
  • Manage IAM roles, policies, SCPs (via AWS Organizations)
  • Implement security best practices
  • MFA for admin users
  • Principle of least privilege
  • Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, Parameter Store)
  • Set up and monitor WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, Macie
  • Conduct regular penetration testing coordination and vulnerability patching
  • VPC subnet configuration, peering, routing, NATs, IGWs
  • Monitor latency and optimize routing (e.g., Route 53 geolocation + failover)
  • Configure private/public subnets for appropriate service exposure
  • Handle load balancer issues (ALB/NLB)
  • Maintain AWS IAM Identity Center
  • Set up cross-account role assumption for devs/admins
  • Configure automated backups for RDS, DynamoDB, S3 (versioning, replication)
  • Ensure DR plans exist and are tested (e.g., failover to a different region)
  • Implement and document Recovery Point Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives
  • Maintain audit logs via CloudTrail, Config, and centralized logging
  • Coordinate with engineering for PII tagging, data retention policies, and data encryption at rest/in transit
  • Maintain living architecture diagrams
  • Keep detailed runbooks for incident response, security breaches, scaling events, or failovers

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification
