Requirements
- 7+ years in software or infrastructure engineering roles
- 5+ years of DevOps experience, providing technical direction to DevOps Engineers
- Expertise in Azure or AWS environments. (Azure preferred)
- Demonstrated success implementing DevOps
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform), scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python), and CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferred) platforms
- Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and direction to a team of DevOps engineers, promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Act as the primary technical contact and mentor for DevOps best practices and automation strategies
- Drive innovation and foster experimentation in CI/CD, automation, and system architecture
- Demonstrate excellence in both written and verbal communication
- Promote ongoing learning and keep current with new technologies and patterns
- Architect and maintain scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Oversee configuration management solutions (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to ensure consistent, secure environments
- Work with Software Engineering to enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability using APM tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic
- Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate closely with the DevOps Manager to ensure solutions align with overall operational and business goals
- Represent DevOps in technical planning meetings, communicating priorities, risks, and system health status clearly
- Provide technical coaching, constructive feedback, and help identify growth opportunities for DevOps engineers
- Encourage knowledge sharing, standardization, and adoption of modern DevOps practices
- Collaborate with the DevOps Manager to ensure the team is properly resourced for delivery
- Carry out additional responsibilities assigned based on business need
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Ansible experience
- One or more Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert)
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT best practices
