Cloud Engineering Manager

Summary

Gogolook is seeking an exceptional Cloud Engineering Manager with 8+ years of experience in cloud-related software development and architecture to lead two teams in developing and maintaining efficient, innovative cloud solutions for their Veri-Scam and consumer product services. The role requires strong leadership, technical planning, solution design, remote team management, cross-team collaboration, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in cloud-related software development and architecture, with at least 2 years of team management experience
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and services and backend programming languages such as Golang and Python. Experience with serverless, micro-service architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Leadership: Excellent leadership ability, inspiring and guiding teams and promoting collaboration and team cohesion
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills can adapt to a remote working environment
• Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to respond quickly and find solutions to reduce business risk
• Professional Attitude: Positive attitude, ownership, high sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure. Ability to switch tasks smoothly and adapt to diverse tasks and challenges

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Management: Guide, coach, and motivate team members, ensuring continuous technical and professional growth
• Technical Planning: Collaborate with the engineering team and product project managers to create technical plans for cloud-related functionalities
• Solution Design: Participate in architecting and designing cloud-related functionalities
• Remote Team Management: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure accurate transmission of information and instructions and maintain cooperation and cohesion within the remote team
• Technical Orientation: Stay updated with the latest cloud technology trends and best practices and apply this knowledge in project development
• Emergency Issue Management: Lead the team in managing faults and emergencies in the production environment, ensuring timely problem resolution and high system availability
• Cross Teams Collaboration: Actively cooperate with the product team, business development team, QA team, data analysis team, and other related departments, ensuring effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

Has experience in anti-scam technology, especially in developing products or solutions that can identify scams related to messages, web pages, and virtual currencies
