Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Summary

Join MCG, a leading healthcare organization, as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect. This individual contributor role focuses on designing and building cloud solutions to support MCG’s data science team. You will collaborate with leadership, establish technical standards, and ensure high-quality solution development and robust operation. The position requires hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure with code and expertise in Kubernetes. Requirements

• Have hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure with code
• Have a long history of successfully operating services in Kubernetes
• Be familiar with the ins & outs of securing cloud environments
• Have operated a service with strict compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO-27001, etc)
• Know how to setup new projects and handle the tricky parts of the SDLC
• Like helping junior team members and collaborating with peers

Responsibilities

• Establish careful and high-quality practices and processes
• Build out a suite of cloud infrastructure to support new AI, ML, NLP, and other data science services and applications
• Support ad-hoc cloud infrastructure projects
• Coordinate with MCG’s team of architects to ensure solutions are aligned with MCG’s architectural best practices and security requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Have familiarity with de-identification services for healthcare data
• Have familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (eg HL7)
• Have experience with Databricks, Flyte, and/or FastAPI
