Summary

Vendavo is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to join their Solution Engineering Center team. The role involves assisting existing customers with technical challenges, providing leadership in resolving high-priority customer challenges, integrating with Customer Operations technical teams, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management teams, and supporting Migration and Upgrade projects as a technical lead.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical experience working with software applications, databases, and enterprise systems
  • Work in accordance with good DevOps practices
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modelling
  • Orientation in DBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
  • Debugging and solving integration challenges between multiple enterprise systems
  • Knowing basic architectural principles of Node JS, JavaScript, Python, Talend and web applications
  • Knowing standard data integration techniques – SFTP, REST API calls, Web Services
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise SSO technologies and principles (SAML2, OAuth2)
  • Strong knowledge of at least one Vendavo platform (EPS, VPP, CPQ, RCM, or IC)
  • The base level of Business/Pricing Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Source Code Management (SCM) - Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps
  • Understands CI technologies (Jenkins, RunDeck, Azure Pipelines) and their application to the delivery process

Responsibilities

  • Assist existing Vendavo customers with current technical challenges and future enhancements
  • Take a leadership role in resolving high-priority customer challenges by analyzing the current situation and directing the customer and internal teams on optimal resolutions (short-term mitigation and optimal long-term solution)
  • Closely integrate with Customer Operations technical teams to determine, document, and train best practices related to configuration, code, design, deployment, and functional solutions
  • Provide best-practice feedback and training to Services teams (SAs and Solution Engineering teams)
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management teams on solving core product issues
  • Guide customers and internal teams on integration issues, whether between the customer and Vendavo or directly between Vendavo products
  • Understand new products, tools, and technology used within Vendavo by Engineering or other groups and spread the knowledge across the community
  • Assist AMS and Steady-State teams (when needed) to provide feedback on current deployment situations and guidance on optimal longer-term design
  • Support Migration and Upgrade projects as a technical lead, providing direction and risk mitigation strategies for the internal team and coordinating with the customer IT group

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, whether technical or process/delivery
  • Ownership perspective to work through roadblocks to achieve resolution/goal
  • Strong collaboration skills to listen, advocate, compromise, and determine win-win solutions
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multi-step resolution paths
  • Comfortable discussing and advocating best practice solutions with internal and customer IT leaders
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
