Cloud Solutions Architect

Summary

Join SAP Fioneer's internal IT team as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in Azure. You will design, implement, and manage complex cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role demands expertise in Azure services, architecture principles, and best practices to build scalable and secure cloud environments. You will work within a scrum team, providing technical guidance and mentorship. The position offers remote work flexibility within specified locations (Germany, UK, Serbia, or Romania). Requirements

• Possess strong base-level competencies in core web technologies and computer fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, PKI, etc
• Have experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), source control (Git), pipeline automation (Github Actions / Azure DevOps)
• Understand modern authentication in relation to IdP (AzureAD / EntraID), SAML and OpenID Connect, AzureAD B2C
• Have general IAM architecture experience building standards that support RBAC and maintain the IdP (EntraID) as the centralized command and control point in an organization
• Have experience with delivering SaaS on Azure

Responsibilities

• Possess a broad range of technical expertise and extensive knowledge spanning various aspects of Azure cloud such as compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management
• Work in a scrum team, with sprints and a backlog
• Design and document architecture blueprints and solution patterns for Azure-based applications
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the cross-functional scrum team
• Build out closed-loop data-driven DevOps supporting architectures that utilize tools like Azure insights to capture key metrics and pipe them back to different stakeholders to provide real-time feedback on factors impacting themes like security, scalability, performance, etc
• Build out hierarchical organization governance via “Management groups” in Azure
• Utilize code-driven administration practices. E.g., legacy native Azure PowerShell modules and more recently the MgGraph modules backed by source control (git repo) to automate common operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience in SAP on Azure environments such as S/4HANA or SAP ERP
• Have experience with tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
