Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred, but is not required
• Commensurate experience in technical sales will be considered instead of formal education
• 7–10 years of IT experience, with 3–5 years in cloud strategy or architecture
• Proven success in client-facing roles, especially in consulting or digital transformation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform
• Strategic thinking and business acumen
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Ability to influence and collaborate across technical and executive teams
• Adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering measurable value
• Strong writing skills for proposal development

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute cloud strategies tailored to client business objectives
• Assist in developing the SOW (Statement of Work) with other team members to drive cohesive projects that meet tactical and strategic customer objectives
• Translate technical solutions into business value through clear, outcome-driven communication
• Collaborate with C-level stakeholders to align cloud roadmaps with defined strategic goals
• Provide real-world examples and use cases to demonstrate the impact of cloud adoption
• Identify, scope, and refer opportunities for additional sales that provide Planet's offerings that contribute to our customers’ success
• Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving cloud ecosystem and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• A master’s degree (MBA or MIS) is a plus
• Microsoft Certifications in Azure, M365, and Power Platform a plus
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Licensing and the ability to provide excellent guidance to our customers

• Base salaries for a Cloud Strategist at Planet Technologies ranges between $140,000 and $180,000
