Cloud Support Engineer I

Summary

This job is for a Tier 1 cloud support role at Zadara, involving server, networking, and cloud resource management. The role requires strong communication skills, ITIL V3 knowledge, and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is beneficial but not mandatory.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in English (spoken and written), high proficiency
• Must live within commuting distance to Zadara office
• 1-3 years experience in administration, configuration, and tuning of Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian and/or CentOS/RHEL) or 2-5 years experience in customer support
• Basic understanding of network concepts
• Identifying and troubleshooting system and network connectivity and performance issues
• Able to work with both technical and with those with limited understanding of technical concepts
• Understanding of ITIL V3 concepts, processes and functions
• Excellent communication skills including prior client-facing experience
• Eager and willing to learn new technologies and skills
• Problem solver, capable of identifying and resolving issues, being able to see the big picture
• Excellent team player

Responsibilities

• Track issues through to resolution
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
• Escalate issues to the next level, as needed
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Document processes and update knowledge base

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
