You will be responsible for the administration, security, optimization, and auditing of our cloud infrastructure and associated systems, primarily using AWS and GitHub. This role blends cloud administration, security operations, and financial oversight, ensuring robust access controls, compliance through regular audits, and cost optimization through FinOps principles. You will serve as the gateway to our cloud environment, working closely with cross-functional teams. Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, and AWS Config
- Strong background in cloud security, access management, and implementing MFA/2FA solutions
- Experience managing GitHub repositories, access controls, and workflow automation
- Proficiency with CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting (Python, Bash), and monitoring tools
- Understanding of cloud cost optimization, budgeting, and financial operations principles
- Knowledge of security frameworks, audit procedures, and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration
Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across all environments
- Administer and integrate GitHub repositories, including access management, workflow automation, and repository security controls
- Implement, monitor, and enforce MFA/2FA and other security best practices across all cloud and code systems
- Conduct regular security and compliance audits of cloud workloads, access controls, and code repositories to ensure adherence to security standards
- Monitor and optimize cloud spending, applying FinOps principles to ensure cost-effective use of resources and budget management
- Automate routine tasks and system monitoring using infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency
- Respond to and remediate security incidents or vulnerabilities in the cloud environment with rapid resolution and preventive measures
- Work closely with DevOps, security, and IT teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Document processes, configurations, and audit findings for transparency, knowledge sharing, and compliance purposes
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred
- Experience with IoT/Edge device management and security
- Background in startups or high-growth technology companies
- Knowledge of additional cloud providers (Azure, GCP)
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure requirements
