Commercial Counsel

Requirements

• JD degree, with admission to a state bar
• 3+ years of experience, with a strong background in commercial law or technology transactions
• Experience independently negotiating multiple contracts without a playbook
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and experience managing several simultaneous projects
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• A team player, who values collaboration and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate vendor agreements, including MSAs, SaaS, marketing, technology, sponsorships, etc
• Contribute to various cross-functional projects, including the creation and updates of legal templates, playbooks, and other processes
• Advise on complex legal and business issues, including as relates to IP and data privacy
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure legal related contract provisions are resolved in line with Signifyd standards, with an eye toward providing pragmatic and business-minded solutions. We don’t need to over lawyer
• Coordinate with a wide variety of Signifyd’s teams, including sales, marketing, business development, product, and engineering, with the ability to summarize and communicate legal concepts to the business
• Assist with additional legal projects as necessary to support Signifyd's rapid growth and expansion
