Commercial Lead

Summary

The job description is for a commercial hire in APAC to drive CHOOOSE's market expansion in the region and support the development of their Singapore office. The candidate should have 10+ years of business development experience, be ambitious, curious about climate change, high in agency, endurance, and communication skills, willing to travel frequently, and preferably have industry experience or knowledge of Asian languages.

Requirements

• 10+ years of demonstrated success in executing technical business development processes and bringing new software products to market
• You're ambitious; you take immediate ownership of the APAC region and expect to grow it into a primary market for CHOOOSE
• Naturally curious; passionate about climate change and understanding where software can help
• High agency; you don’t wait for anyone else to solve your own needs, you get things done
• High endurance and willingness to work inconsistent hours to accommodate a customer (and colleague) base operating across multiple geographies
• Willingness to travel frequently and on short notice
• Superior verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of other Asian languages (e.g. Chinese, Japanese) is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Become a CHOOOSE expert; continually educate yourself on the carbon-related requirements and market trends impacting our customers and the sectors in which we operate
• Operate as the senior commercial account lead for CHOOOSE’s existing enterprise customers in the APAC region; partner with the CHOOOSE Customer Operations team to fine-tune how we enable these customers to build successful decarbonization programs on the CHOOOSE platform
• Formulate and execute a plan for continued commercial growth in APAC; identify and sign keystone customers in the shipping, aviation, and other logistics sectors
• Work closely with the CHOOOSE senior management team to shape how to resource the APAC region for consistent growth. Function as a foundational team member to build CHOOOSE’s Singapore office around
