Summary
Join lastminute.com as a Commercial Specialist and contribute to driving Package sales (flights+hotels and Tour Operator Packages). Based remotely in Portugal, you will analyze performance, monitor marketing channels, and provide insights to enhance conversion rates and revenue. This permanent, full-time role requires a BA/MA degree in a relevant field, 2-3 years of experience in the travel industry or digital companies, and strong analytical skills. You will work within the Packages Value Stream team, reporting to the Head of Commercial for Packages. The company offers a flexible work environment, including a shorter working week and opportunities for professional development.
Requirements
- BA/MA degree in relevant fields, e.g. business, marketing, tourism
- 2/3 years experience either in the Travel Industry (OTA/Tour operator environment) or in digital companies
- Strong Excel knowledge and sound analytical skills
- Knowledge of Google Analytics
- Ability to work with Presentation Tools
- Ability to influence decision-makers through presentation of data and insights
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Contribute to steer Package sales (i.e. flight+hotel and Tour Operator Packages) to lastminute.com, focusing on improving our commercial proposition to enhance conversion rate and revenues
- Perform in-depth analysis of performance by destination/product in order to make informed decisions on the actions to be taken and drive conversations with your line manager and Packages Director
- Monitor and analyse marketing channels performance, in order to better understand customer behaviour and optimise the offering
- Gather, analyse and interpret sales and market information in order to provide meaningful feedback on competitors’ landscape, and make recommendations for the packages strategy
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in French and knowledge of Spanish
- Problem-solving and innovative thinking
- Keen eye for details and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at a time, successfully meeting deadlines
- Proactiveness and ability to work in autonomy, but still with a strong team spirit and able to effectively collaborate in teams
