Summary
Join CD PROJEKT RED as their passionate and experienced Community Lead for Asia to elevate their community presence. You will localize and implement global community strategies, ensuring regional community managers are supported. This role involves leading, mentoring, and driving impactful projects that resonate with players across South Korea, Japan, China, and other Asian territories. You will co-develop community strategies, translate global visions into localized strategies, partner with local community managers, monitor budgets and resources, and facilitate communication between teams. Additionally, you will provide mentorship, deliver reports, advocate for culturally relevant approaches, and represent the Asia community team within headquarters. This position offers a high-impact role within a beloved studio, influencing community engagement across Asia.
Requirements
- Degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in communications within the games industry, including 1–2 years in a managerial or lead role
- Proven track record in leading AAA community or social media campaigns
- Experience with annual budget planning and team-level financial management
- In-depth knowledge of the Asian gaming ecosystem and region-specific social platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- A proactive, self-reliant attitude with strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a distributed team
- Awareness of cultural nuances and a commitment to inclusive communication
- Willingness to travel across Asia and internationally
- A genuine passion for storytelling, player communities, and video games
Responsibilities
- Co-develop long- and short-term community strategies tailored to CD PROJEKT RED titles across Asia
- Translate the global community vision into localized strategies for South Korea, Japan, China, and other regional markets
- Partner with and support local community managers to align on campaign goals, timelines, and brand tone
- Monitor budgets, project pipelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and impact
- Facilitate transparent communication between Asia-based teams and headquarters, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals
- Represent the needs of the Asia community team within HQ conversations and ensure global direction is clearly communicated back to regional teams
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and growth opportunities to local community managers, fostering a strong and cohesive team
- Deliver reports and updates on community trends, sentiment, and emerging opportunities in the region
- Advocate for culturally relevant approaches and help ensure inclusive, regionally sensitive communication
