Requirements

  • 3–5 years of community management experience, ideally in gaming, or digital collectibles
  • A deep understanding of collectibles concepts such as blockchain, digital ownership, and trends in gaming and virtual worlds. You can articulate why cross-game avatars and interoperable digital identities matter, building trust and excitement in these communities
  • Exceptional communication skills to craft engaging, platform-appropriate messages and foster strong relationships. You excel at diffusing conflicts, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and representing PlayerZero with a professional, approachable tone
  • Proven ability to moderate discussions and enforce community guidelines effectively, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
  • Creativity paired with strategic thinking, enabling you to design and execute engaging events or activations that resonate with the community while meeting business goals
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, addressing community issues swiftly and adapting to the rapidly changing collectibles and gaming landscape
  • Expertise with platforms like Discord, X, and Telegram, tailoring content to each while leveraging social media tools to amplify engagement
  • A data-driven mindset, using analytics to track growth, identify trends, and continuously refine strategies to improve community engagement

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary contact for PlayerZero’s community across X, Discord, and our social hub
  • Engage with users daily, respond to questions, and amplify user content
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment and build strong relationships with key community members and KOLs
  • Contribute to the content calendar with updates, announcements, and spotlights
  • Collaborate with marketing on brand-aligned messaging and share engaging content like tutorials and previews
  • Gather and share user feedback with the product team to shape the roadmap
  • Facilitate focus groups and research sessions to align product development with community needs
  • Host online events (AMAs, community calls, launch parties) to engage and inform
  • Launch programs like ambassador initiatives, contests, and game nights to boost loyalty
  • Ensure safe, respectful spaces by monitoring and moderating channels
  • Lead a global moderation team to resolve issues and maintain clear communication
  • Track metrics to identify trends, refine strategies, and measure impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have a strong interest in avatars, digital identity, and the evolving landscape of virtual worlds
  • Bring experience launching digital collectibles
  • Share a personal interest in cross-game interoperability and other avatar applications
  • Have experience working in a startup or scaleup environment
  • Love gaming and deeply understand gaming culture
