Summary
Join Taconic Biosciences as a Generalist Compensation & Benefits, working primarily remote with occasional visits to the Germantown, NY site. This role involves managing employee compensation, benefits, and leave of absence processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience. Key responsibilities include administering leaves of absence, supporting benefits administration, assisting with payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing employee support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant policies, federal and state regulations, and a keen eye for detail.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level
- Minimum 1 year of experience in HR, benefits administration, payroll, or leave management
- Strong understanding of multi state FMLA and other leave-related compliance requirements. Taconicβs main locations in the US are in NY, IN and WA state
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data management skills
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, regulations, and industry best practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-service mindset
Responsibilities
- Administer employee leaves of absence, including communicating with employees and managers processing applicable paperwork, monitoring leave status and return to work dates
- Support the benefits administration process
- Assist with payroll processing including leave deductions and benefit calculations
- Become the back-up for payroll processing
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of global employee data, including maintaining and updating HR and personnel records
- Perform data audits on a regular basis
- Be an accessible resource to employees with compensation and benefit related questions, escalating issues as necessary
- Ensure compliance with regulations at the federal, state and local levels and prepare reports as requested
