Summary

Join Hitachi Vantara as a Configuration Strategist and play a pivotal role in supporting Field Sales and Pre-Sales teams across the EMEA region. You will manage and optimize solution configurations, ensuring they meet customer needs. Maintain a deep understanding of Hitachi Vantara's solutions and stay updated on market trends. Effectively communicate configuration performance insights and collaborate with teams to solve problems and enhance productivity. Build strong relationships with internal teams and anticipate changing business needs. This primarily remote role requires occasional office visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Professional experience with IT organizations
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with peers and all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in English is required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize solution configurations within Hitachi Vantara’s quoting systems, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Hitachi Vantara’s hardware and software solutions, staying abreast of market trends and competitive developments
  • Support early adoption of emerging technologies by integrating new product components into configurations as appropriate
  • Effectively communicate configuration performance insights to Field Sales teams
  • Partner with Field Sales to proactively identify challenges, develop solutions, and enhance productivity
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and Field Sales districts to anticipate and address changing business needs
  • Collaborate with fellow Configuration and Pricing Strategists to refine, enhance configuration practices and global procedures
  • Work as part of a dynamic team of 9 Configuration Strategists spread across five EMEA locations
  • Maintain close collaboration with Field Sales, Pre-Sales Engineers, Sales Operations, Finance and other stakeholders involved in the deal cycle
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to the Configuration Manager regarding resource needs and personnel matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data storage knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in supporting Field Sales teams is desirable
  • Local language proficiency is beneficial, and a third language is appreciated
