Content Designer

Summary

Requirements

• Possess strong mentorship and team collaboration skills—actively share best practices and help junior members grow
• Demonstrate the confidence to champion your work and persuade stakeholders on UX writing decisions while knowing when to compromise
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills—clearly articulate problems and solutions and give/receive constructive feedback effectively
• Hold a degree in an area related to English, Linguistics, Communications, Psychology, Business, Tech, etc
• Be a passionate writer, with an interest in writing for user-centred products
• Possess a desire to learn; an interest in new technologies is important, though training will be provided
• Employ a collaborative approach to writing
• Demonstrate an ability to adapt to different writing styles, voices and mediums
• Possess strong proofreading and editing skills
• Be a Content Design expert with a portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of writing for digital experiences
• Know the Cleo tone of voice well and understand the nuances of US audiences and can adapt language to resonate effectively
• Be confident using design language and terminology
• Align Content Design with company OKRs and proactively connect your decisions to Cleo’s broader strategic goals
• Use evidence, data, and research to inform your writing decisions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers, researchers, analysts, and developers to create products that improve how people manage their money
• Design content for new conversational flows—whether that’s jokes for modes like roast and hype or creating financial insights to help people budget better or spend more wisely
• Gather and create data to help train our large language model on Cleo’s distinct tone of voice
• Analyze user asks to improve Cleo’s understanding of their questions and needs
• Coordinate with researchers and product designers to identify limitations of our current tooling and helping to improve them
