Content Specialist

Summary

Join Lightspeed as a results-driven Content Writer (Dutch and French) and become the voice of Lightspeed for the retail industry in the UK and Benelux. As a key member of the marketing team, you will create content for various projects across multiple channels. You will be the expert on Lightspeed's software solutions, supporting the team with campaign ideation, editorial planning, and market expansion initiatives. Your work will directly impact Lightspeed's positioning as a leading commerce platform. This role requires strong writing skills in Dutch and English, experience in SaaS marketing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in SAAS marketing, copywriting or journalism
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent people skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, from sales to product to support
• Ability to take complex concepts and explain them simply and briefly
• Outstanding Dutch and English writing skills and incredible attention to detail
• Ability to poke holes in copy—including your own—and iterate quickly
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Familiarity with content management systems like Wordpress
• A passion for retail or a willingness to learn more

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly polished, creative and impactful copy that supports the go-to-market strategy, multichannel marketing activations and product launches
• Manage and execute the content calendar for your specific region and industry (blogs, social media, webinars, customer stories, bylines, etc.) to support marketing and PR needs
• Localise material from Dutch, French, English and vice versa
• Develop a good knowledge of our key products, customers and businesses, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Write and manage content on our website, ensuring it follows style guidelines and making recommendations for improvements
• Optimise content performance with guidance from acquisitions and marketing leads
• Stay up to date on retail industry news and trends
