Summary

Join Education Perfect's Essential Assessment team as a Literacy Content Specialist! This 12-month fixed-term contract position involves creating and editing online and paper-based literacy assessment materials for Australian primary schools. You will collaborate with a team to ensure alignment with Australian Curriculum standards. The role requires primary English teaching experience in Australia, a tertiary qualification in education or teaching, and experience in English assessment writing. Requirements

  • Primary English teaching experience in Australia
  • Tertiary qualification in Education and/or Teaching
  • Experience in English assessment writing (digital and/or paper-based) with a solid foundation in item-writing methodology
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to accurately map, interpret, and deconstruct the progressive sequence of English curriculum points
  • Understanding of, and genuine interest in, Literacy pedagogy and best practices in Literacy teaching
  • Genuine commitment to giving, receiving and applying feedback
  • Impeccable attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Write original Literacy assessment materials for Levels 2-8, ensuring adherence to our content quality standards and precise alignment to the given curriculum/s
  • Actively engage in robust editorial processes, including detailed pre- and post-production feedback cycles and peer reviews
  • Review and map the Australian Curriculum, NSW Syllabus, and/or Victorian Curriculum 2.0 against Essential Assessment Literacy content to ensure robust alignment
