Summary

Join Uptempo's legal team as a Contract Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and compliant contract lifecycle management. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal, using Ironclad. You will collaborate with various internal teams, mitigate contractual risks, maintain organized contract records, and improve processes. This fully remote role offers flexibility in work schedules to accommodate our global team. The ideal candidate possesses strong contract management experience, legal knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 4+ years of office administration or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial agreements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal using our Contract Lifecycle Management tool, Ironclad
  • Prepare and review various types of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Partner with internal teams, including Sales, Procurement, and Operations, to address contractual needs and resolve related queries
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and recommend strategies to minimize exposure
  • Maintain an organized repository of contracts, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates in the contract management system
  • Develop and refine contract management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist the General Counsel with other legal and compliance matters as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SaaS agreements, data protection clauses, and software licensing terms
  • Paralegal certification or legal background
  • Familiarity with international contracts and cross-border legal considerations
  • Experience with privacy and data security considerations
